How to Get Pets in Pet Forest
Every legal spawn route, from farm bushes to weather trees.
Every Pet Forest pet starts as an interact on a tree, a plant, a present, a shop tile, or a clone. There is no egg machine in the official loop. If a guide tells you to hatch, you are reading a different Roblox collector. This page maps the real routes so you can answer “how do I get X” without walking every biome twice.
Pair it with the biomes and trees list when you need a named plant such as starfruit, cloud leaf, or marula. Pair it with Elusive Pet Hunting when the thing you want is tagged Elusive. New accounts should still skim Getting Started so they do not ignore daily limits.
Route 1: Trees and plants
Walk up to a node and use the prompt. The pet that pops is rolled from that node’s table. Farm bushes near the bases drop commons. Desert cacti, prickly pears, and tumbleweeds lean arid. Palm trees sit on the west coast and are the usual milk source. Birch and willow live in the auburn woods. Magic-forest starfruit trees are the home of starry foxes and starry cats. Cloud leaf is the plant players mention for borzoi. Marula in a Heatwave window can roll Ancient wildlife such as elephants.
You cannot force a specific species on a common node. You can only pick the node that includes it, raise luck, and try again. The collection checklist is there so you stop farming a tree whose table you already finished.
Route 2: Weather and world banners
Heatwave tells you a rare creature is roaming the desert and often accompanies an Elusive tree. Sugar Rush raises Candy mutation odds. Some windows quadruple Chromatic chance. Halloween-night banners have been used for expensive SCP-themed pets. None of these banners are codes. They are world state. If you see one, stop decorating and move. Details and a real hunt video sit on the Elusive page.
Route 3: Crafting and presents
The otter event asks for ingredients and can return Luck Potions, shards, or mutation tools. Failed bakes still teach the recipe tracker. Presents and gift piles appear in the hub; open them after a potion if you care about the roll. Crafting and Luck is the dedicated kitchen guide.
Route 4: Shops and Robux
A limited shop and a Reset Shop sell decorations and sometimes pets or potions for in-game money or Robux. Cloning someone’s jerboa for 650 Robux has been mentioned in community footage as a paid shortcut. That is optional. The released loop does not require it. If you do spend, screenshot the purchase for your own records before you clone the wrong pet.
Route 5: Cloning other bases
A Cloning Tool duplicates a pet you point at, including pets on another player’s plot. It does not remove theirs. This is the fastest way to import a trillion-income cupcake crab if one is standing in the same five-player server. Read Cloning Pets before you hide inside a gummy shark and click.
Route 6: Events and Admin Abuse
The live Alien Event added eleven limited alien pets and an alien mutation. Admin Abuse can spawn admin-rarity trees such as a glitching tree. Time-limited mythical pets are called out in the official description. When the window closes, those rows move to limited and mythical.
What to do with the pet you just got
- Check mutation and Chromatic markers before you grind it. See Mutations and Chromatic.
- Compare income with the tier list and the income planner.
- Place it if it beats your weakest tile. Decorate later via Base and Decorations.
- Leave a duplicate in a save slot if it is serial or event-limited. Serial and save slots explains why.
Getting pets is the verb the whole wiki hangs on. If a method is missing from this list — trading booths, merging, or eggs — it is because we have not verified it in Pet Forest. We will not copy those systems from other games to look complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do I get a specific pet like a jerboa?
Find the plant or weather window that includes it, raise luck, or clone one from another base. There is no search bar that spawns species on demand.
Can I hatch eggs in Pet Forest?
No. Pets come from trees, plants, events, shops, presents, and clones.
Do I need codes to get rare pets?
No. The Codes Hub has no active strings. Rares come from nodes, weather, events, and clones.
Why can I not interact with a tree?
You may have hit a daily limit, lack currency for that node, or be standing on another player’s placement prompt. Move or wait for reset.
